DESCRIPTION:Tijdens de eerste lunchlezing van dit kwartaal zullen twee inge
 nieurs van Witteveen+Bos een kijkje geven in de projecten waaraan zij werk
 en. Beide hebben een werktuigbouwkundige achtergrond\, maar ze zijn op com
 pleet verschillende afdelingen aan het werk! Tijdens deze lezing zullen zi
 j het brede spectrum aan kansen laten zien als werktuigbouwkundige bij Wit
 teveen+Bos. De lezing zal in het Engels plaatsvinden. De projecten waarove
 r de sprekers zullen vertellen zijn als volgt: Two projects will be introd
 uced in the field of sustainable heat source for district heating\, and i
 n the biogas utilization for a waste water treatment plant. The project 
 ‘Oosterweelverbing’\, the underground ringroad around Antwerpen\, comp
 rised of multiple traffic tunnels. In particular how tunnel ventilation is
  designed to provide smoke control in case of fire incidents and to preven
 t explosions in case of gas leakages inside tunnels. An explanation how CF
 D-calculations have been used to design the smoke and heat exhaust system 
 of a future metro station of the Amsterdam North-South line.
